Inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1993, in recognition of its outstanding universal value in terms of marine life species diversity and richness, Tubbataha Reef offers some truly amazing diving, only accessible by liveaboard. These reefs consist of vertical walls or near drop off’s rising out of great depths where hammerheads, thresher sharks and whale sharks can be seen. The shallow reef tops are teeming with colorful reef fish whilst at many dive sites stingrays, spiny lobsters, immature manta rays and turtles are found.

The Visayas region is home to some of the best diving in the Philippines, with its nutrient rich water supporting a variety of ecosystems & a wide diversity of marine life. Sites range from steep coral covered walls to gentle sloping reefs and muck diving hotspots. During the tour we visit and dive the islands of Cebu, Cabilao, Panglao, Balicasag and Pescador. Magic Oceans Dive Resort – Anda, Bohol

Magic Oceans is a brand-new purpose-built dive resort nestled on the shoreline of the Bohol Sea in Anda, on the island of Bohol. It was designed using the same principles as the Magic Island Resort in Cebu i.e. it is compact and friendly, with a great attention to detail: whether that’s the personalised service provided by the locally trained staff or the fact that there are power sockets alongside the bar, so that you can enjoy a drink, catch up on social media and charge your device all at the same time! The sixteen cottages are all spacious doubles with bedside tables, wardrobes and even a writing desk. They are well appointed with a sofa area, air conditioning, a minibar, and beverage making facilities.

The bathrooms are equipped with modern functional fittings, have hot showers and large marble surfaces either side of the sink to spread out all your paraphernalia or dry your camera housings. All cottages have balconies out front with comfortable chairs and a table and a view over the pool. The resort is located to the south of Anda, and there is 18 km’s of reef to be explored both to the north-east and the north-west of the resort. There are over 30 named dive sites listed already and more being discovered as time goes by. Besides diving, Bohol has many attractions like the chocolate hills, tarsiers and the river cruise.

In addition to a vast array of both soft and hard coral, Sogod Bay supports aquatic life from tiny pygmy seahorses, nudibranchs and pipefish to turtles, frogfish, napoleon wrasse, and even, at the right time of year, whale sharks!

Certified PADI instructors and the most knowledgeable Filipino dive masters in the region stand ready to guide you to some of the best diving sites in the Philippines. Now offering over 25 unspoiled dive sites featuring pristine reefs with healthy corals and plentiful macro life. Underwater photographers and videographers are welcomed and we are pleased to have hosted many world renowned photographers.

The resort caters to a maximum of only 22 guests and is designed to serve dive travelers’ needs. We are proud that many customers keep coming back time and time again.

DIVE RATES
  • Air dives 1, 350 Peso per dive (drinks and snacks included if doing 2 dives or more)
  • Nitrox dives 1, 450 Peso per dive (drinks and snacks included if doing 2 dives or more)
  • Full dive gear rental 400 Peso per dive (includes BCD, Regs, Wetsuit, Mask, Fins and Booties)
  • Snorkeling gear 300 Peso per day (includes Mask, Snorkel, Fins and Booties)
  • Whale shark trip 3, 500 peso per diver (during the season from November through May)

We do competitive group diving rates for a minimum 6 divers.

Please contact us for rates and note there is a marine sanctuary fee of up to 200 pesos (~$4) per day on marine sanctuary dive sites. This is for the local authorities to maintain the marine sanctuaries.
